For Law Students
Shelter Legal Services provides an excellent training ground for law students to learn legal practice and professionalism. Law students volunteer at our legal clinics during the school year and summer, and we have a full-time internship program. Law students must attend our training program prior to volunteering, and we welcome 1L, 2L and 3L volunteers.
Clinic volunteers
Time commitment varies, but students who are not receiving credit are expected to work at least three hours at clinic and two hours on follow-up work each week. Students are expected to attend weekly clinics for at least one semester.
Interns, Externships and Co-op Students
We welcome applications for co-op employment from Northeastern, and for internships and externships. To apply for our competitive full-time summer internship, submit your resume and cover letter to info@shelterlegalservices.org We are currently accepting applications for the Summer 2011 internships. Applications will be accepted until all positions have be filled.
